NFGR: We express our sorrow for the devastating fires in California and the Loss of the Historic 100-year-old Nature Friends Clubhouse in Sierra Madre
Dear Nature Friends LA,
We are deeply concerned about the intense and prolonged devastating fires in California and extend our heartfelt condolences and moral support to the area’s residents.
Devastated, we read and viewed the detailed report by journalist R. Daniel Foster in Forbes, titled “Nature Friends Mountain Retreat Vows To Rebuild After Eaton Fire” (Jan. 12, 2025).
While deeply saddened by the destruction of the 100-year-old Nature Friends LA Clubhouse, we are heartened by the determination and willingness of your members to restore the structure.
We wish you strength and hope for your restoration efforts’ success.
We empathize deeply with your situation, given that dozens of areas in Greece have also been affected by wildfires and floods, with devastating consequences for the natural environment, agriculture, and the economy and significant losses of human and animal lives.

ΦτΦ Ελλάδας: Εκφράζουμε τη θλίψη μας για τις καταστροφικές πυρκαγιές στην Καλιφόρνια και την απώλεια του ιστορικού 100χρονου NatureFriends Clubhouse στη Sierra Madre
Αγαπητοί φίλοι – Nature Friends LA
Με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρακολουθούμε τις έντονες, πολυήμερες καταστροφικές πυρκαγιές στην Καλιφόρνια και εκφράζουμε τη λύπη μας και την ηθική συμπαράστασή μας στους κατοίκους της περιοχής.
Σας ενημερώνουμε ότι διαβάσαμε και είδαμε φωτογραφίες στο Forbes και το λεπτομερές ρεπορτάζ του δημοσιογράφου R. Daniel Foster με τίτλο “Nature Friends Mountain Retreat Vows To Rebuild After Eaton Fire”. (Jan. 12, 2025).
Από τη μια πλευρά λυπούμαστε για την ολοσχερή καταστροφή της Λέσχης των ΦΙΛΩΝ ΤΗΣ ΦΥΣΗΣ Λ.Α. / Nature Friends LA, ηλικίας 100 ετών, από την άλλη πλευρά χαιρόμαστε για την αποφασιστικότητα και τη διάθεση των μελών σας να επανακατασκευάσουν το κτήριο.
Σας ευχόμαστε καλή δύναμη και καλή επιτυχία στην προσπάθειά σας.
Σας ενημερώνουμε ότι και στην Ελλάδα έχουν πληγεί δεκάδες περιοχές από πυρκαγιές και πλημμύρες με καταστροφικές συνέπειες στο φυσικό περιβάλλον, στις καλλιέργειες, στην οικονομία και με μεγάλες απώλειες σε ανθρώπινες ζωές καθώς και ζώων.
